All of the 1800s — one museum
The Hirschsprung Collection is beautifully situated in the green parklands of Østre Anlæg in the center of Copenhagen. Founded by tobaccomanufacturer and art collector Heinrich Hirschsprung and his wife Pauline, the museum first opened its doors to the public in the summer of 1911.
The museum houses more than 100 years of Danish art from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, ranging from the Golden Age to the Skagen Painters and the advent of Modernism. The collection includes masterpieces by C.W. Eckersberg, Christen Købke, J.Th. Lundbye, P.S. Krøyer, Anna and Michael Ancher, Theodor Philipsen and Vilhelm Hammershøi.

The shop is open during the museum's opening hours Wednesday-Sunday at 10-17. You are welcome to visit the store without paying admission to the museum. If you are an annual pass holder, you get a 10% discount in the store.
